Which Amazon.com product is actually worth sourcing?

Proffitly's AI scans any product listing on Amazon.com and runs the full fee math instantly — referral fees, FBA, ads, worst-case margins — so you know which one to source before you spend a rupee.

The problem

Sourcing decisions are usually a gut call

Most sellers eyeball a factory quote, guess at Amazon's fees, and hope the margin works out. That gut call is expensive when it's wrong.

01

Fees are a maze

Referral fees, FBA fulfillment, storage, fuel surcharges, VAT — each marketplace and category has its own rules.

02

Margins look fine until they don't

A product that pencils out on paper can go negative the moment ad costs rise or a competitor drops price.

03

No second opinion

Spreadsheets don't flag risk. They don't tell you a deal only works if nothing goes wrong.

FAQ

Before you sign up

How accurate are the fee numbers?

Referral-fee tiers follow Amazon's published 2025–2026 schedules, including price-breakpoint categories like jewelry and clothing. FBA fulfillment fees are modeled from weight and dimension bands rather than pulled live from Amazon. Always confirm exact per-ASIN figures in Seller Central's Revenue Calculator.

Is Proffitly connected to my Amazon Seller account?

No. Proffitly doesn't connect to Seller Central and doesn't place orders. You enter numbers you already have from sourcing and research, and it runs the underwriting math.

What happens to my email when I sign up?

It's stored so you can log back in and, if you opt in, so we can send occasional sourcing tips. Today's login is a lightweight demo system, not a production-grade authentication service.

Can I analyze more than one product at a time?

Yes — the Bulk analysis tab inside your dashboard accepts a CSV of products and runs the same engine on every row, then ranks them by verdict and score.

What we collect

When you sign up, we store your name, email address, company name (optional), and the role you select. If you signed up using someone's referral link, we also store which account referred you, and — only to detect abuse of the referral program (e.g. one person creating many accounts to farm free searches) — the IP address used at signup and a normalized form of your email address. This fraud-check data is never used for any other purpose.

When you run and save a product analysis, we store everything about it: the inputs you entered (sourcing cost, pricing, shipping, and so on), the resulting scores and verdict, any notes or reminders you add, its stage in your sourcing pipeline, and any outcome you log against it. If you're in a team workspace and share an analysis there, the other members of that workspace can see it too — that's how sharing works.

What we don't collect

  • We don't connect to your Amazon Seller account or read your real sales data.
  • We don't use analytics, tracking cookies, or third-party ad pixels — there is no tracking or advertising technology anywhere in Proffitly.
  • We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
  • We never see or store your full card number — see "Payments" below.

Where your data is stored

Proffitly runs on Supabase (a hosted PostgreSQL database and authentication service) and Vercel/your hosting provider for the app itself. Access to your saved analyses and account data is controlled by database-level security rules scoped to your account and, for shared analyses, to the members of your workspace.

Who can see your data

Your saved analyses are private to your account unless you save them into a shared team workspace, in which case the other members of that workspace can see them — including your display name, the analysis inputs/outputs, and any notes you've added. Proffitly administrators can see account-level information (your name, email, company, plan, and search usage) through an internal admin dashboard in order to provide support and manage the service, but do not see your individual product-cost inputs unless you contact us for help with a specific analysis.

Emails we send

We use Resend, a transactional email provider, to send you a welcome email when you sign up and (if you're subscribed) a periodic digest about products sitting in your sourcing pipeline. We don't send marketing email from a purchased list, and Resend only ever sees the email content needed to deliver these specific messages.

Payments

Paid plans (Pro and Premium) are billed through Stripe. When you upgrade, you enter your card details directly on Stripe's own checkout page — Proffitly never sees or stores your full card number, expiry date, or CVV. Stripe notifies us only that a payment succeeded (or a subscription changed/cancelled) and which plan it corresponds to; we store that plan status, not your payment details. See Stripe's own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

Exporting and deleting your data

From your account settings, you can export a full backup of your saved analyses and account info as a file at any time, and re-import it later. You can delete saved analyses individually from the History tab (deletions are held briefly with an "Undo" option before they're permanent). There's currently no self-serve full account deletion — contact whoever operates this instance of Proffitly to request your account be removed entirely.

Proffitly for Amazon (Chrome extension)

The Proffitly for Amazon Chrome extension reads a product's title, price, star rating, review count, category, weight, and dimensions from the Amazon product page you're currently viewing — and only when you click its "Analyze on Proffitly" button. That data is opened directly in this web app's Single-Product form; nothing is sent to any server other than opening that page, nothing is collected or stored by the extension itself, and nothing runs in the background. The extension doesn't read your Amazon account, order history, browsing history, or any page that isn't an Amazon product listing.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle your data changes meaningfully, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.

What Proffitly is

Proffitly is a decision-support calculator for Amazon product sourcing. It models Amazon's published fee schedules and combines them with the numbers you enter to produce a Go / Caution / No-Go verdict and supporting figures.

What Proffitly is not

  • Not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.
  • Not connected to Amazon Seller Central — figures are estimates, not live account data.
  • Not a guarantee of any outcome. A "Go" verdict does not promise the product will sell or be profitable in practice.

Accuracy

Referral fee rates follow Amazon's published category schedules; FBA fulfillment fees are modeled from weight and dimension bands (and, outside the US marketplace, from US size-tier rates specifically — see the note shown next to non-US results). Both can be out of date or not match your specific ASIN, sub-category, or marketplace. Always confirm exact figures in Amazon Seller Central's Revenue Calculator before committing capital.

Plans and billing

Every account starts with a 14-day free trial with Pro-level access (99 searches/month). After 14 days, your trial ends and you'll need to choose a paid plan to keep analyzing products: Pro (99 searches/month) or Premium (unlimited searches) — see the pricing page for current rates. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, which opens Stripe's own billing portal. If a payment fails, your account may be moved back to a limited/expired-trial state until it's resolved.

Acceptable use

Don't use Proffitly to submit other people's personal data without their knowledge, attempt to abuse the referral program to farm free searches, attempt to break or bypass the app's access controls, or resell access without permission.

Changes

We may update these terms as Proffitly's features change. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
